Skin boosters can be used to improve the look and feel of our skin. At Fountain of Youth in Salisbury we use a range of skin boosters, polynucleotides being among them, to rejuvenate the look of ageing, tired and dull looking skin.
Polynucleotides are a next generation regenerative treatment that are used to improve skin tone and quality. They are quite different to other skin boosters like Profhilo that rely on hyaluronic acids to improve the look of the skin. They don’t add any volume to the skin, but instead when they are injected they start a process of biological regeneration.
They do this by stimulating the fibroblast cells inside the body. Fibroblast cells are responsible for creating collagen and elastin and when the fibroblasts cells are stimulated the body starts to make more of the vital collagen and elastin proteins that are responsible for giving patients more youthful looking skin.
Polynucleotides are also different to many other skin booster treatments in that they can be injected quite closely to the eyes, allowing for the treatment of fine lines, crepey looking skin and improving dark circles.
Polynucleotides are a skin boosting treatment that can be targeted around the eyes, on the face, neck and hands as well as many other areas of the body to give patients beautiful skin boosting results.
Because polynucleotides are a regenerative treatment, the results won’t be seen instantly. It takes time for the body to regenerate more collagen and elastin, so therefore it takes time for the results to show. However, when the results do start to show patients may experience better skin quality tone and texture, a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles and smoother, more youthful looking skin. We recommend three sessions for best results.
Hyaluronic acid based skin boosters aid by hydrating the skin from within and plumping out finer lines and wrinkles. There is also a degree of collagen stimulation. I boost the effects of this stimulation by completing the treatment with microneedling which refreshes the skin by stimulating collagen and elastin production.
